through heaven’s eyes

A single thread in a tapestry
Through its color brightly shine
Can never see its purpose
In the pattern of the grand design

And the stone that sits on the very top
Of the mountain’s mighty face
Does it think it’s more important
Than the stones that form the base?

So how can you see what your life is worth
Or where your value lies?
You can never see through the eyes of man
You must look at your life

Look at your life through heaven’s eyes

A lake of gold in the desert sand
Is less than a cool fresh spring
And to one lost sheep, a shepherd boy
Is greater than the richest king
If a man lose everything he owns
Has he truly lost his worth?
Or is it the beginning
Of a new and brighter birth?

So how do you measure the worth of a man
In wealth or strength or size?
In how much he gained or how much he gave?
The answer will come
The answer will come to him who tries
To look at his life through heaven’s eyes

And that’s why we share all we have with you
Though there’s little to be found
When all you’ve got is nothing
There’s a lot to go around

No life can escape being blown about
By the winds of change and chance
And though you never know all the steps
You must learn to join the dance
You must learn to join the dance

So how do you judge what a man is worth
By what he builds or buys?
You can never see with your eyes on earth
Look through heaven’s eyes
Look at your life
Look at your life
Look at your life through heaven’s eyes

Through Heaven’s Eyes
From Prince of Egypt Soundtrack

They were showing The Prince of Egypt on TV earlier on, and this song they played just got me thinking. Many times I have wondered, what’s my life all about? What am I doing here? But this song just reminds me that God has a plan for all our lives, but we can never understand His plan for us fully. No matter how insignificant we think we are, we are all part of a great plan - God’s plan.

sigh

Darren’s been so busy lately, I haven’t seen him online for such a long time. :( I miss him… It always makes me happier when he’s around. YS keeps telling me to call or SMS him, but I’m afraid that I’ll disturb him.

“You seem rather troubled lately…” Michael was telling me on MSN just now. I’m surprised that he could actually tell, since I don’t talk to him alot in school or see him alot oustide class. I don’t know why either, but I haven’t exactly been in a good mood lately. Too stressed? No idea. I think part of it is because of Pei Yuan, I got so pissed with her on Tuesday, I was like… I felt like slapping her. Yes I was pissed to such an extent…I just don’t get what’s her problem. Arrgh.

A Maths test tomorrow, sigh. I hope I don’t flunk it. This chapter is so difficult! ><

why her?!

The election results were announced today. Guess who’s the president? Jocelyn. Yes, Jocelyn. Arrgh. Of all people why her? When the results were announced, the Sec 3s in my section had their faces tured black immediately. There was some talking amongst the seniors after that.

Why Jocelyn?! If she actually told her class that she would quit choir if she does not become the president, it shows that she’s not dedicated at all and has a motive behind all her actions. I think she does not even deserve to be in the committee having such an attitude. I’ll be leaving this year, so it does not really affect me, but the poor juniors… I think they will have a hard time. ><

elections

The elections for the new choir committee was held today, and the Sec 4s got to help in counting the votes. ^^ It was a close fight for some positions, especially president. 3 of my juniors with only a few votes of difference. ^^; The committee hasn’t been confirmed yet though, there have been some appeals for the reconsideration of the winner for certain posts. The results will be out officially on Saturday…

A lot of the Sec 3s and Sec 4s didn’t want Jocelyn to become the next president since she sucks up to others and is really fake. But upon looking at the results, she stands a pretty high chance… Just have to see whats the final decision made by the teachers.

calling

I freak out whenever I have this long list of people to call… There’s a meeting for my church fellowship this Sunday, so I’m supposed to call like 20 people. ^^; It’s ok when I’m calling people around my age, but I have to call the teachers, advisors (what do you call them?) - the adults, and I really freak out when I have to do that. -_-; Just very unused to it I guess.
