sick

I’m in school now, blogging from the library. I have 2 free periods today, but I really don’t feel like studying. I’m down with flu… sigh. Thanks goodness there’s only 2 lessons today, otherwise I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to make it through the day. I just can’t concentrate… too sleepy. -.-

Ouch! And Josh, you are not pregnant!

Jireh whacked me on the head with his handphone today. ^^; He was comparing his height with Serene; she said the was 1.67m tall and he was wondering if he was taller than her. Then I asked him if he was feeling inferior, and he whacked me. But not a serious whack, more like for fun. I don’t know why, but half the time we have conversations we start bickering over stuff, not seriously though.

We had games for youth group today, and in one of the games each group was given an item, and we had to come up with a commercial for it. My group for this bottle of Apple Tea, so we did this modified version of the Vanilla Coke advertisement; the one where this guy sticks his head into the hole and then someone grabs it and he is offered a bottle of coke. Darren’s group got a bible, so they had this really short one about the bible making someone happy with the Carlsberg advertisement song in the background. When we did singing earlier that group was really out of tune, but the sure can whistle - and in tune too. -.-

Then it came to Joshua’s group. Their advertisement was about a ball, so Joshua acted as this “pregnant” woman who tricked someone into giving “her” a seat in the MRT by stuffing the ball under his shirt. Then when he alighted at the next stop he took out the ball and went off to play with his friends. Typing this out doesn’t make the plot sound interesting in anyway, but when everyone saw the “pregnant” Josh we all cracked up. Man it was hilarious! If only someone took photos… maybe one day we can blackmail him with it. XD

what’s the point of this?

The school announced that the side gate will only be opened in the mornings, so everyone will have to leave school from the main gate. No one was happy about the decision as the main gate is really far away from the bus stop, and walking that long distance after a long day in school is very unappealing. The rational behind it was so that they could effectively check on any visitors for any symptoms of SARS, but why can’t they place the security guard at the side gate and open it instead? This arrangement will continue till they feel the situation is safe enough to open the side gate again, and I’m pretty sure that will not be anytime soon. I really pity the scholars who stay at the Chinese High boarding school, they literally have to walk a big round to get back home; their boarding school is opposite the college when you walk from the side gate.

Met Jia En on the way back home today, so we chatted for the whole bus journey. It’s nice to catch up with her albeit only for a short time. For once the bus ride seemed too short. I really need to catch up with my sec 4 classmates… I hardly even meet those in NJ nowadays.

Qin Ning told Lynn that she thought that Alwyn and I were rather compatible… Lynn told me that during Chemistry practical. Me? Alwyn? Compatible? Eh. o.O Who cares, I don’t like him in that sense anyway. But he’s nice to talk to and can be funny at times. :p

feeling bad

I feel bad… The interactors were selling lollipops today to raise funds. In class, Qin Ning asked Shi Leng to treat her, so I asked him to treat me too, but I meant it as a joke. Anyway he had to do something, so I think he forgot about it. Then Qin Ning asked Jelvin ask Shi Leng about the lollipops, and Jelvin offered to treat both of us… and Shi Leng asked if I wanted him to treat me too, but 1 lollipop was enough. And during the last period while we were watching the concert Joel treated me to another lollipop… so now I have 2 sitting at home. I feel so bad! I was only joking, but they really bought the lollipops at 50 cents each. Shi Leng and Jelvin also treated quite a few others… Really, my class guys are too nice! Well some at least, I’m not used to this. Ahh… still feel bad.

don’t skip your lunch!

After PE today I we were sitting around, waiting to cool down before we left for home when I saw An Qi and Hui Yian going up to Joel who was standing at the top of the grand stand, leaning against the wall and looking down. After asking them what was going on I realised that Joel wasn’t feeling well after PE and he vomitted… Really, that boy should not skip his lunch! But I think I know the reasons behind it… I think it really boils down to self-confidence. He shouldn’t compare himself so much with Jelvin, they are both very different people with different builds as well, comparing just isn’t going to help. And you thought only girls compare ourselves with our peers that much…
