1 more week to the holidays!

The weather’s nice today. :) It rained last night I presume, because when I went downstairs this morning it was really cool and breezy, and the ground was wet. The weather hasn’t been like this for so long!

Went with Mum to her office to clear some stuff; I was helping her remove stuff she had pinned on her notice board when this pin poked into my finger. Don’t ask me how. o.O Thankfully it didn’t hurt… for a moment I was shocked though… having one of those big pins poking into your finger. o.O I remember the last time I practically sliced my thumb with a shaver (don’t ask me how too…) and that really hurt. >< I think i'm accident-prone on the fingers. Heh.

Got my braces off today! :D I'm stuck with wearing a retainer for 6 months more, but I'll survive. It's just irritating having something stuck in your mouth... and I can't pronounce properly now with it in. ><

Am I being over-sensitive towards some things, or are they true? I certainly hope it's the former...

hockey match - we won!

My class was asked to go support the hockey 3rd/4th placing match between our school and VJC today, so we missed 3 periods of lessons. :) I didn’t really want to go at first as I wasn’t feeling very good and I didn’t know exactly where the place was, but I still went in the end. Don’t regret it though, that match was pretty exciting.

NJ scored the first goal, and as expected there was cheering from our side. I guess that goal provided some relief; the team only had to make sure that VJ didn’t score in order to win the game. There were quite a few scares when VJ almost scored a couple of goals. Almost. Anju, who was sitting beside me kept talking about how she wished the referee would blow the whistle so we would win. He did eventually, and we won! :)

The hard work put in by the hockey guys paid off. :) I wonder how the tennis team fared…

Happy birthday to Molly, enjoy your day! :) Don’t forget to visit Christine at her new domain too!

math woes

Today was the first time I have seen Mr Bek so angry. He was asking Johan and Raj a couple of mathe questions, which neither could give an answer. I guess that was when he started getting pissed as both of them constantly have their tutorials left undone… He then asked those who didn’t do the tutorial to stand up; more than half the class did. When asked for the reason as to not attempting the tutorial, most people cited not being able to understand trigonomery as the reason. And somehow he just got more infurated… I guess it’s because we often complain about how we don’t understand the lectures and don’t do our tutorials until in class, and Mr Bek was sick of hearing that over and over again. Half the class failing the maths test (which wasn’t anywhere near being easy) didn’t help in matters. Sigh. It’s scary to see him that angry…

rain rain come again!

It finally rained today! The shower wasn’t very long though, but still better than nothing. The weather has been so hot over the past week or so. >< When you start missing something you'll really appreciate it when you see it again, like the rain in this case. I remember how much I complained when it rained almost everyday for a period of time... ^^;

The maths lecturer was on course today, so Ann Koh took over the lectures. Everyone was so glad to see her that thay clapped and cheered... I miss her lectures, they're so much better than our current ones. >< Too bad it's only for 1 lesson... why does she have to leave? :(

Project work tomorrow... bleh.

why not clay?

It’s only 9.30pm, but I already feel so tired. After missing 5 consecutive PE lessons PE resumed for us today. We had to run our 2.4 under the scorching sun. >< But I’m so glad that it’s over and done with, after we clear our 5 stations we’ll get to play games again. :)

Some of us had a BMORE briefing after school today… found out that we would be doing the same thing we have done in the first 3 months, but this time in pairs since only around 20 of us are involved, which is much less in numbers as compared to the first 3 months. This time round however we get to do it at our own time, and no supervision will be done.

We had some problems with deciding who to partner since there were an odd number of girls. We ended up drawing lots to decide our partners, and took even more time to decide what was the gene we wanted. Qin Ning and Alywn had conflicting schedules from us, so we ended up pairing them together. They’re going to hear no end of it from me. XD

American Idol ended its second season yesterday, and now my Thursdays will be so empty. :( I was really hoping for and expected Clay to win, but the results turned out otherwise. Sigh. At least the top 3 are good. I felt that Clay did a better job than Ruben last night though… he was more deserving. There’s only a less than 1% difference in votes between Clay and Ruben, I wonder if Simon hadn’t made the comment about Clay being slightly off that night would Clay have won? For now I’ll just be waiting for his album. :)
