slack tuesday… for once!

Posted in School

Lot’s of people skipped GP today; more than half my class did not appear. When the bell rang and it was time for GP to start, Gian, Alwyn and I were staing outside out classroom, contemplating whether to go for GP or not. None of us really wanted to go, especially since today was our double period, which would end at 5. Well in the end we still went to class, albeit being rather late. In the end all we had to do for GP was to read this article, which almost none of us really did since we ended up talking to Mrs Lee instead. Well she didn’t exactly mind us not reading either… It’s really nice to talk to her especially since she has interesting views about certain subjects, and she can be hilarious at times. (Out of the 4 GP teachers I’ve had there’s no doubt she’s my favourite.) After an hour of talking and slacking we were allowed to leave early at 4 instead of 5. :) Instead of havung a busy, tiring tuesday afternoon my afternoon was quite slack, only 2h of lessons (of which only 1h was proper lessons) since I skipped Math lecture. -.- At least I got some work done during that time…

The staffroom’s electronically locked now… why? It’s rather troublesome for us students to look for our teachers since we can’t enter the staffroom unless someone opens the door for us. >< Hopefully they will install some intercom system or something… But I always prefer walking into the staffroom to look for teachers, it’s much easier that way, and another reason is that I don’t particularly like intercoms… (I remember the time Christine used the interom in Farifield and went “hello” and laughed into the phone…) ^^ ;

evil guys ><

Some weeks ago there was this special days for the girls in church where the guys had to plan games and to entertain us. This time round the girls had to plan stuff for the guys. We had songs, a skit, games as well as food (pizza!). Our first game was one where 4 people would sit in front and follow instructions given to them like “lift you left hand and right foot” and “make sure both feet are not touching the ground”. If they did something wrongly they would be punished by having clothes pegs clipped on them and pulled. (Ouch! But those who were punished said that it didn’t hurt… o.O )

The next game was sort of complicated, and there were flour and balloons. The girls were supposed to be blindfolded and each guy would follow a girl around. The girls would have to guess which was the guy who was the partner (the guy) of another girl by asking questions. When you have a complicated game, blindfolded girls and guys with flour and balloons, we all know what will happen. Hardly anyone played the game properly, and the guys just ended up chasing the girls around and pouring flour over them. After that it became a flour fight. ^^ ;

I dislike playing with flour; whenever there are such messy games I tend to avoid them unless it’s during camps or something. (I usually go out after church on Sunday, and no way am I going out all dirty.) This time however I just joined it, and when the whole game ended I had flour all over me. Much thanks to Stanley who poured this bag of flour all over me and to Jireh as well who tricked me. >< He said he wanted to talk to me, but I was suspicious so I stood quite far away. Then he kept saying how we wasn't going to pour flour on me. I didn't know whether to trust him or not, but he might have wanted to talk to me about some church stuff as we are meeting later in the week for some discussions, but still I kept my distance. He pretended to put the bag of flour down, but still ended up pouring that whole bag on me. Sheesh. Well I guess the guys had a great time doing that to us girls though. -.-

When everything ended the guys went off to have their pizza while the girls cleaned up. That was a tough job… think of clearing away all the flour on the floor. o.O Just hope that the school attendent doesn’t complain tomorrow… *crosses fingers*

27th!

Fairfield is ranked 27th based on the O Level results of my batch. We improved quite a few positions as compared to our seniors batch (ranking: 31 then), which is good. We made it to the top 20 value added schools too! :) Think Miss Lim would be quite pleased with that. However I think there’s definately room for more improvement. We are now tied with Commonwealth, but I’m sure that Fairsians are capable of doing better than them as well as a lot of other schools that are ranked above us. Hope the juniors work harder and improve our rankings further!

it’s been some time

It’s been raining non-stop for the whole of today, you wouldn’t think that the clouds could hold that much rainwater in the first place. o.O I was freezing in school because the wind was so cold. o.O Hopefully it won’t rain tomorrow so that we can have PE, tennis is fun! :p

Haven’t been blogging that often lately, but there’s really been nothing very interesting going on. I think I’ve been talking a bit too much in class though, and laughing too much too, until the teachers asked what was going on. ^^ ; But the fact that the people sitting beside me crack up easily doesn’t help very much… not that I mind anyway. :p It certainly helps to lighten things up and makes you forget about all the stress, even if only for a short moment.

I signed up for an attachment this holidays, but we need to source for our own contacts and the school will only help us write letters to the places we are interested in. The problem is that I can’t find anywhere that something to do with biologial or chemical engineering (no medicine for me! so many people signed up for that. -.-), but I’m not the only one. Hope I can find some company to go to… I don’t want to waste the opportunity.

stop touching my stuff!

Man I really feel like kicking someone’s ass right now. I really NEED my own computer soon before I die from anger, some people really cannot keep their hands to themselves and keep touching my files. First my files got deleted (thank God they were still in the recycle bin) and now my user status has been changed; so has the password of other people so I can’t change my user status back. As a result WinAmp just won’t run and ICQ gives some warning. Arrgh. Seriously I feel like deleting his whole account with all his files just to teach him a lesson (even better if I just make this laptop totally mine), but I shall not. Must not act impulsively…
