Respect - I think it’s a very important quality that every one should have. The respect you have should not only be reserved for people that you admire or those that are better than you in certain areas. What about others?

I’m sure everyone has met people that we don’t like. These may be people we have interacted a lot with, or people that we dislike based on a poor first impression. But even if we dislike them, does it also mean that we should not treat them with respect? I think not.

Think about someone you may not really like. The bad qualities of this person most likely appears in your mind first. But try to think of the good qualities of this person, and you’ll notice that he/she does have some good qualities as well. Are some people really as bad as we make them out to be? Shouldn’t we acknowledge these people for their strengths too? Sometimes we just focus too much on the bad side and neglect about the good.

Even if we dislike someone, I think we should still accord them with the basic respect they deserve. They are people too, just like us. By giving them respect doesn’t automatically mean that we have to like them though, but there is no need to look down on them or make fun of them intentionally. If you want others to treat you with respect, respecting others is the most basic thing we can do.

Of course, when we talk about things like serial murderers and the like it may be a different case altogether, but let’s not venture into that now.

It seems as though this week is going to be a boring one. There’s practically nothing I watch on TV, espcially since American Idol and The Amazing Race have both ended now. :( So other than having driving 4 days this week, I guess I’ll end up the the library. Anyone free to go shopping with me? :)

I hope my pay comes this week, because I need the money! Especially since the sales are now on… shopping! But I guess you can get better deals towards the middle of the sale season; by the end of the season there’s practically nothing nice left in my size, since my size is so common.

Oh yes, there’s still the Science Quiz trainings to go, and I’m still waiting for someone to confirm with me the date of the next training. I hope we can resume training this week! And maybe have more intensive trainings? Especially since they’re on holiday and it’s the RJ quiz we’re talking about. The focus will be on practicals, but I have to check whether the labs have the apparatus I need. Chemistry is going to be such a problem. There wasn’t even any form of sulphite available in the labs, and I think that may be the case for other chemicals we use in the A levels… I guess we’ll just have to see how it goes.

I can’t access all my email accounts! And it’s not like all the accounts are by the same email provider, in fact I have accounts from yahoo, hotmail and gmail. -.- Not that I check all regularly in the first place. Is it only a problem with my internet connection or something? :(

EDIT: Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong? Because I cannot go without my email! T_T And no FTP connection for me either. Maybe it’s a good thing I uploaded the new theme last night.
