Randomness

Because I’m bored…

Random thing #1

Saw this photo on Sherry’s blog a few days ago, and my first reaction was “Hey I wanted to take a photo of this on that same lecture too!”. But I didn’t, which is why I’m stealing her picture to put here. XD

If you’re wondering what’s so special about the picture, look carefully at what the lecturer is holding. Nope, it’s not some sort of pointer, but it’s a golf club. (Yes you read that correctly!) It’s the first time I’ve met someone who uses a golf club as a pointer. It’s dangerous I tell you.

Random thing #2

Since I mentioned Sherry just now, let me just add that you should never sit in front of her if you’re wearing a red jacket in the lecture theatre. The first time, this guy with a red jacket sat in front of her, and she ended up squirting chilli sauce on the chair and his jacket because she was eating McDonalds. We all had a good laugh about that incident. Not long ago, Shi Wei was also wearing her red jacket and sitting in front of Sherry. And her water bottle placed on the table somehow hit Shi Wei when the table slid down. Will there be an incident #3?

Random thing #3

Wan’e, Jasmine and I were walking back to the tutorial room after we filled our water bottles at the water cooler. We all have Nalgene bottles, mine’s pink, Jasmine’s purple and Wan’e has the blue one.

Wan’e: Pink + blue = purple!
Me: Isn’t it red + blue = purple? If pink + blue = purple, then red + blue = ?
Wan’e: Black…?

하울 - 앵무새

After spending so many hours watching the DVD over the past few days, I’ve finally finished watching Goong! I guess that wasn’t a bad decision, because now I can focus on studying instead of wanting to watch TV.

I found the song I was looking for!

하울 - 앵무새 (Howl - Parrot)

happy hari raya!

I’m so tired right now! Went to Vivo City with the boyfriend this afternoon, and the place was packed with people. Sometimes I go out wanting to shop, but I get turned off when I see the crowd. But looking on the positive side, that means I managed to save money! I think I’ve been spending a lot recently.

I thought of reading my physiology textbook after I got home, but I ended up watching Goong and sleeping. And then I went out again in the evening. In the end I didn’t get a lot of things done today, but that’s perfectly ok. It’s good to take a break from studying once in a while. :)

In life, some people matter a lot to us. Sometimes we understand why they mean so much to us, yet at other times, we simply have no idea. I really don’t understand why you mean this much to me, but you just do. And I really hope that you’ll be able to find happiness in life. This is my wish for you, right from the bottom of my heart. Maybe one day I’ll realise why I value you this much.

It’s almost time to go to bed! I guess I should sleep early tonight since I seem to be deprived of sleep these couple of days. And I can’t tell you how happy I am that there’s no Management lecture tomorrow, lab on thursday afternoon, and biostatistics lecture on friday. That means I have more time to do my own things, and watch Goong! I think I’m hooked onto that show.

easily amused

Staring at a blank card, thinking of what to write but I really am not sure where I should start from. And it’s not as though I have 101 things to say… oh well.

I think I’m easily amused lately. How many people actually laugh when the see the subject of an email? But then again, maybe the problem lies with the sender. Haha.

In Microbiology tutorial, different people get called up to present their answers every week. Depending on who the tutor is, sometimes people get away with presenting whatever answer they have, while at other times the tutor seems to shoot question after question at the poor person standing up there. This week’s tutorial had a question on Chlamydia, and one of the guys was asked to present the question.

Guy: … men infected by the bacteria may experience itching of the testicles… (or something along those lines)
Tutor: Ok, but what you mentioned was the symptoms. What about the consequences of the infection?
Guy: Erm… itching-related consquences?
*whole class bursts out laughing*

I think the tutor then asked if anyone else knew what the consequences of the infection were.

Tutorial group leader: Scarring of the tissue.
Tutor: As a result of itching?

And then everyone started laughing again.

It doesn’t sound funny here, but it really was funny when it happened in class! It’s quite rare to have a tutorial where people are just laughing like that, with the tutor included.

I think I’m being really random today. Heh.
