undiscovered things
A full day in the lab, but I’m just glad that I have something to do from the moment I stepped in till the time I left. Beats having to sit around and wait until there’s something to be done.
I realised that there are quite a few places in school that I never knew existed!
1. In Nanyang Auditorium there’s a senior common room. All along I thought it was just a normal room, until the other day when I went there with people from the lab for lunch. There’s actually a stall there selling chinese mixed rice! $3.50 for 3 dishes, soup, desert and coffee or tea. But I think it’s only the grad students and profs who go there, because most undergrads wouldn’t know the existence of that place.
2. Opposite the sbs building there’s this grey building known as Animal House. (It’s obvious what’s inside from the name.) While most undergrads should know what Animal House is, I’m certain that almost everyone doesn’t know that there’s an underpass linking both buildings. You can enter from the lift that’s at the back corner of the labs, though I wonder where you can access the lift from level 1. Somewhere in or near the office? Hmm.
I wonder if I’ll discover more new stuff in the next 1.5 months…
