Today morning, the sign outside boss’ office looked like this:

She was on leave, and supposed to return only on Friday. However, when the few of us headed back to the office after lunch, her door was open! She came back 2 days earlier, and that caught us by surprise. She left after a while though.
Anyway, she bought the lab some food during her trip, and this was the cutest!

They’re kind of like mooncakes, and come in the shape of piglets! The girls were commenting that the design was so cute.

It comes in 2 flavours – this one is the sakura-flavoured one, and there’s another matcha-flavoured one. They’re both nice, but I prefer the matcha one, since it’s less sweet.
Foods like this one make really nice gifts! Makes you feel happy eating them as well.
Leaving to meet the HR soon, and my boss later. I’m not quite sure what to expect, and “but I’m just a student!” is no longer a valid excuse from this point onwards. I just hope the project is something that I can understand and manage. I’m sure things will work out one way or another though, and I’m thankful that the environment is one that I’m familiar with.
In any case, what I wish to do the most right now is to… sleep in.
I’m not used to waking up so early!

I just finished watching both the Nodame Cantabile live action and the anime, and some time prior to this, I watched the La Corda D’Oro anime. What do both have in common? Classical music.
When it comes to manga adaptations, some just don’t translate well into live action dramas, and watching the show makes you cringe. The Nodame Cantabile live action, despite retaining the exaggerations commonly found in manga, was filmed in such a way that makes it really enjoyable to watch. It helps that comedy plays an important part in the series as well. Also, having an interesting plot and a wonderful cast, it’s not surprising that the drama was well received when it started airing on TV.
